The human body naturally stores fat, subcutaneous fat, in order to supply energy in times of need. Every body distributes the subcutaneous body fat by a genetically determined pattern. In almost all cases this inherent distribution cannot be remedied by a special diet or increased physical exercise. Aqualyx injections are very effective and is a non-invasive treatment for face and body sculpting. If you do not want invasive surgery and cannot afford the down time and discomfort of invasive liposuction, this is a great treatment to consider.

 

Aqualyx® liquefies the fat cell, destroying it permanently, releasing the lipids that are then eliminated naturally through the lymphatic system.

 

Typically, two treatments are required for each area being treated; patients report good tolerance of the treatment.

 

The treatment will be repeated between two and eight times depending on the number of small pockets of fat tissue to be reduced. The treatment is repeated every three to four weeks.

After each treatment patients can expect some swelling, redness and skin irritation and tenderness in the area treated, which will subside after four to six days.

 

AFTER THE TREATMENT

After a treatment with AQUALYX™ :
• The treated area should not be exposed to direct heat (sauna, sun, etc.) or severe cold
• Physical exercise should be avoided for about 4 to 5 days.
• Application of cosmetics to the treated area should be avoided for at least 12 hours.
• Intake of anti-inflammatory drugs (Ibuprofen etc.) should be avoided
• Bruising may develop within the treated area.
• Post treatment effects may occur to the treated area such as: itching and burning sensations, feeling of pressure, minor aches, pains and swelling

 

 

What is Aqualyx® used for?

It used for Aqualysis or Aquaplasty treatment to reduce localised, stubborn fat deposits in areas such as the chin, stomach, outer and inner thighs, hips, knees etc.

 

How quickly will I see results?

A reduction in fat deposits can usually be seen after just one treatment, however between three and eight sessions are required to see the optimal effect. The speed at which results are seen will vary depending on the stability of the cell membranes; younger patients are more likely to results after a longer period. Results may vary from physician to physician and case by age.

 

Who is the treatment suitable for?

It is suitable for patients who do not want the more invasive liposuction or laser lipo treatments, who do not have large amounts of fat to remove and who are over 18 years and under 60 years of age. The treatment is not suitable for pregnant or lactating women or those with a pathological condition.

 

Is the treatment suitable for overweight patients as a weight loss method?

No, Aqualyx® and Aqualysis are aimed at reducing stubborn pockets of fat

HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?

IS LEMON BOTTLE PAINFUL?

Treatment with lemon bottle is very comfortable. We may apply topical numbing cream beforehand if you are suitable and if needed.

 

IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD - OR SHOULDN'T DO - PRIOR TO THE TREATMENT?

We advise you not to drink alcohol or take Ibuprofen within the preceding 24hours of your appointment, as this can increase the risk of bruising.

 

IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD - OR SHOULDN'T DO - AFTER THE TREATMENT?

- Drink plenty of water - 2-2.5 litres of water per day, for 7 days following treatment

- Do not touch the treated areas for the next 6 hours

- Avoid alcohol for 7 days after the treatment

- Avoid swimming for 24 hours

- It is SAFE to use the sauna and steam room - we actually encourage sweating after treatment with lemon bottle!

- Avoid sun beds for 24 hours after treatment

- Avoid spray tanning for 24 hours after treatment

- Try to minimise caffeine consumption for a week following treatment. For every caffeinated beverage, balance this with a glass of water

- Follow a low fat and low carbohydrate diet for seven days following treatment. Absolutely no carbs after 7pm.

- Avoid excessive saturated fats and high carb intake for a week following treatment, these choices can hinder the treatment's effectiveness by promoting fat cell retention and formation. Opt for a balanced, healthy Diest for best results.

 

ANY RISKS OR SIDE-EFFECTS?

Most common risks and side effects are associated with the needle itself, very mild discomfort, mild swelling immediately after treatment, and potentially redness and bruising.

 

No serious side effects have been reported with us of Lemon Bottle.

 

Potential side effects may include:

- Swelling. Mild to moderate swelling at the injection site is both common and temporary. Swelling associated with Lemon Bottle treatment is typically much milder than that of other fat dissolvers.

- Bruising. Some client's may experience bruising around the treated area. Bruising typically resolves with 1-2 weeks.

- Redness. Mild redness is normal after injection, and usually fades within a matter of minutes to hours.

- Soreness. The treated area may be sore, or you may feel a slight discomfort for a few days following your treatment.

- Temporary numbness. This is possible, and usually resolves spontaneously. 

- Itching or tingling. Some clients may experience tingling or itching around the treated area, as the body responds to the treatment.

- Localised Skin Irregularity. In some cases, client's may notice unevenness or asymmetry in the treated area. These are usually temporary, and improve over time.

- Tissue Firmness. The treated area(s) may initially feel firm to the touch. These typically soften over time.

- Skin Discolouration. Temporary skin discolouration, such as hypopigmentation, or hyperpigmentation, may occur in some individuals.

- Allergic Reaction. Allergic reactions are very rare, and can potentially occur with any treatment. 

 

IS THERE ANYBODY WHO CANNOT HAVE LEMON BOTTLE?

You cannot have LEMON BOTTLE if:

- You are pregnant.

- You are breastfeeding.

- You are allergic to the product or any of it's excipients

- You are under 18 years of age.

- You have Lipodystrophy

- You have Lipoedema

- You have any liver disease

- You have any kidney disease

- You are diabetic

- You have any thyroid conditions

- You have any active infection of the proposed treatment area

- You have any skin condition of the proposed treatment area, such as eczema or psoriasis

- You have any scar tissue in the proposed treatment area

- Lemon Bottle is not designed for excessive weight loss, and is typically not suitable for those with a BMI of above 40. This will be discussed further on an individual basis.

- You have any acute, active infection(s) or illness
